Avenir LNG enters three-year LNG Bunkering Supply Agreement with Destination Gotland

Avenir LNG Limited (Avenir) on Tuesday (14 June) said its wholly owned subsidiary, Avenir Marine Limited (Avenir Marine), has entered into a three-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) Bunkering Supply Agreement (SPA) with ferry service provider Destination Gotland AB for the supply of up to 40,000 metric tonnes (mt) per annum of LNG as marine fuel for the vessels M/S Gotland and M/S Visby. 

Under the agreement, Avenir Marine will deliver LNG to both M/S Gotland and M/S Visby via ship-to-ship transfer in Visby, Sweden using the Avenir Ascension, our 7,500cbm LNG Bunker Vessel which was delivered earlier this year. 

The first bunker delivery under this new agreement was successfully conducted on 8 June 2022 and deliveries will continue through to Q2 2025.

Avenir LNG in late May received Avenir Achievement, its second 20,000 cubic metre (m3) capacity dual-purpose liquefied natural gas supply and bunkering vessel (LBV), from Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co.
