LLC RN Bunker, the bunkering subsidiary of Rosneft Oil Company, on Tuesday (24 September) said it has begun to refuel ships with 0.5% sulphur limit marine fuel at the Far East region.
“The first 200 metric tonnes (mt) of new marine fuel was delivered to a bulk carrier in the Nakhodka water area,” it notes.
“In addition, low-sulphur fuel is used on ships performing work in the water area of ??the Bolshoi Kamen Bay as part of the Zvezda construction project.”
The marine fuel used for the bunker supply are produced from the facilities of the Komsomolskoye oil refinery Rosneft in the Khabarovsk Territory.
“The release of such fuel testifies to the high technological capabilities of the company's processing enterprises and helps to minimise the environmental impact of transport,” it states.
