Total bunker sales at Panama was 406,355 metric tonnes (mt) in May, compared to sales of 421,272 mt during the similar period in 2022, according to PMA data.

Bunker fuel sales at Panama falls by about 3.5% in May 2023, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).

Total bunker sales at Panama was 406,355 metric tonnes (mt) in May, compared to sales of 421,272 mt during the similar period in 2022.

In May 2023, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 337,509 mt; 212,431 mt of VLSFO, 95,953 mt of RMG 380, 3,782 of marine gas oil (MGO), and 25,343 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.

The similar region saw total marine sales of 351,333 mt a year before on May; with VLSFO sales at 214,306 mt, RMG 380 sales at 96,645 mt, MGO sales at 9,373 mt, and 31,009 mt of LSMGO being sold.

Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 68,846 during May 2023; the figure comprised 53,792 mt of VLSFO, 5,140 mt of RMG 380, 2,494 mt of MGO, and 7,420 mt of LSMGO.

It saw total sales of 69,939 mt in May a year before; with VLSFO sales of 32,536 mt, RMG 380 sales of 28,491, 3,350 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 5,562 mt.
