Singapore: Strong start to January bunker sales volume

Republic posted total marine fuel sales of 4.61 million mt in January 2018, higher than 4.46 million mt recorded in January 2017.

Singapore saw a strong start to its bunker sales volume for the year 2018, according to Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) data.

The republic posted total sales of 4.61 million metric tonnes (mt) of marine fuel in January 2018, higher than 4.46 million mt recorded in January 2017.

Vessels lifted 3.37 million mt of 380 centistokes (cSt) grade in January 2018, compared to 3.34 million mt during the similar period last year.

The remaining grades delivered in Singapore during the comparative period of January 2018 against January 2017 were:

  • 500 cSt – 980,000 mt (893,300 mt)
  • 180 cSt – 29,400 mt (33,200 mt)
  • LSMGO – 115,100 mt (117,800 mt)
  • LSFO 180 cSt – 24,200 mt (nil mt)
  • LSFO 380 cSt – 2,200 mt (14,400 mt)
  • MGO – 68,200 mt (62,000 mt)
  • Others – 16,600 mt (2,300 mt)
